Half of California's public schools have gardens, but only 9% are used for instruction, because there's no state funding for the teachers and curriculum that turn a garden into a classroom. The 2026-27 budget is being decided right now, and a $25 million ask on the table would fund 50 districts and reach 500,000 students. Your reps need to hear from you.
